These cheeses are wrapped in strips of spruce bark which lends a sweet, earthy woodland quality to the cheese.  Cavendish Spruce has a semi firm rind with a creamy aromatic quality will delight your your taste buds.

 

For a spoonable texture, take the wheel out of the refrigerator at least an hour before serving, or warm in the oven at 250°F for about 5 minutes or until the center is very soft. 

Use a knife to  slice all the way around the top rind, carefully peel back the rind to expose the creamy center. The rind is edible too!
